Lindsay Lohan has signed on to guest star as herself on an upcoming episode of FX's 'Anger Management.' The redhead will play Charlie Sheen's love interest after becoming his therapy patient.
Sheen and Lohan worked recently on Scary Movie 5, and Sheen reportedly offered Lohan $100,000 so the debted actress could pay back the money she owes in back taxes. Sheen said the idea was to "pay it forward," and was later quoted as saying, "I'm still waiting for a text to say, 'Thank you.' Anything, you know?" Lohan's guest appearance should do the job fine.
Scary Movie 5 and Lohan's guest episode will both debut in April. Anger Management airs Thursdays at 9:30/8:30 central.
The guest appearance news should come as good news for Lohan, who recently lost a defamation lawsuit against the rapper Pitbull for his use of her name in the lyrics of his song, "Give me Everything." The judge on the case dismissed her suit Thursday, ruling that First Amendment rights protected the song as a work of art.
Lohan filed the suit against Pitbull in 2011, claiming that the line "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan" violated her privacy and publicity rights and caused her emotional distress. Though Pitbull initially apologized for the lyric, he did file a countersuit.
U.S. district judge Dennis Hurley ruled her claims of privacy and publicity rights did not apply in regards to a work of art. The fact that the Song was presumably created and distributed for the purpose of making a profit does not mean that plaintiff's name was used for 'advertising' or 'purposes of trade' within the meaning of the New York Civil Rights Law," he wrote in the ruling.
Judge Hurley did decline to sanction Lohan for filing a frivolous suit, which Pitbull's attorneys asked for. Instead, Lohan's attorney was charged with a $750 penalty for an "affront to the court." The attorney's court briefs were apparently plagarized from newspapers, law firms and educational websites.
