Black Eyed Peas vocalist Fergie is pregnant and expecting her first child with actor/husband Josh Duhamel. The couple announced their happy news on Twitter, Feb. 18.
Fergie took to the social networking site and posted a superimposed picture of the couple as kids along with a post that read, “Josh & Me & BABY makes three!” Duhamel too excitedly shared the news with his fans with the same picture and a caption, “Fergie and Me and BABY makes three.”
This is the first baby for the singer as well as the “Safe Haven” actor and they are clearly very excited about it. “They just found out and tweeted it to the world," a source told Us Weekly.
The couple tied the knot in 2009 after dating for five years and made their desire to have children very clear when they appeared on “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” Duhamel, 40, excitedly spoke about how he wanted to have five kids but Fergie revealed that they had negotiated and agreed to have two children. “Two is our number,” the 37-year-old had said.
Duhamel also explained how he thought that raising kids wouldn’t be that tough for the couple as they both had been raised in similar ways and shared the same values.
“My mother was a teacher. Both of her parents were teachers. We both had to work for what we got. We're both Catholic,” he explained, according to US Weekly. “There were a lot of things that were really compatible between us. But at the end of the day, she's just an amazing girl.”
Duhamel must be on a high right now. His latest movie, “Safe Haven,” opened to raving reviews and even managed to leave behind Bruce Willis’ “A Good Day to Die Hard” on Valentine’s Day with earnings of $21.4 million.
