Naomi Campbell, iconic supermodel, was attacked and robbed in Paris while hailing a taxi, suffering a torn ligament in her leg.
The model was apparently hailing a taxi in Paris, when a mugger "knocked over and robbed" her according to New York Post.
The 42 year-old suffered a torn ligament during the altercation and has since reported the incident to French police. The perpetrators as of this day have yet to be caught. The model has refused to comment on the news, telling the Post that she is feeling "fine."
The muggers targeted Naomi for the expensive jewellry she may have been wearing, they were "watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when seh was alone," according to sources to the Post. Naomi was injured when she was pushed to the ground during the assult, "She was understandably very upset and shaken up."
Campbell is reportedly spending time in Miami recovering from her injuries, after being flown to Colorado to be seen by renown orthopaedic surger J.Richard Steadman, She was currently working on Oxygen Network reality modeling show "The Face," which is set to air in February. The British model is one of the team leaders with models Coco Rocha and Karolina Kurkova.
