Cynthia Erivo's 'Elphaba-Coded' Mani: Step-by-Step Breakdown to Re-Create Look

Ahead of the official release of "Wicked," Cynthia Erivo's nail artist Micah Dior shared a tutorial on how to achieve Elphaba-coded nails

Recently, the star stunned with her manicure in different shades of green, channeling the magical character during her attendance at the movie's premiere in Los Angeles.

On Instagram, her nail tech Dior then spilled the step-by-step breakdown on how to re-create the look, using the following products.

Step 1: Create a Base Using Opi's Wicked Collection

Starting with the base, Dior used the Witch O Clock gel color from Opi's Wicked Collection and applied it to selected nails.

She then used the Ozitively Elphaba color for the remaining nails, which formula has gold pearlescence for an added "eye-catching" quality.

Shoppers can get the same nail lacquer for $11.99 each at opi.com. Optional: Layer the shimmer with an Opi cat eye.

Step 2: Add Depth by Drawing Outline, Bold Black Borders

Once cured, Dior continued by adding life to the nails using Opi's black onyx nail polish. She had drawn the geometric lines using black and explained why she used a dark hue;

"Black enhances the richness of the design, providing contrast against the green and embellishments."

Step 3: Add Crisp White Accents for Balance

For the other nails, Micah went on by using alpine snow nail polish instead, to draw clean and contrasting lines that add detail to the geometric lines earlier created.

"White balances the darker tones and adds a fresh touch to the design that is also maximalist but elegant," asserted the nail tech.

Step 4: Add Crystals for Show-Stopper Mani

In another post, Micah also flaunted the crystals she used for Erivo's nails, which she got from Bluestreak Crystals and Serinity Crystals.
