Clinique will expand its renowned Black Honey collection with three new products: a lip and cheek oil, mascara, and eyeliner.
These additions aim to build on the success of the original Black Honey Almost Lipstick, a product that has maintained its popularity since its launch in 1971.
The Clinique Black Honey Almost Lipstick, priced at $25, has been a beloved staple for over five decades.
Developed by co-founder Carol Phillips, the lipstick was designed to be universally flattering, akin to "the classic black turtleneck" of lip products. Its sheer berry hue suits various skin tones, making it a timeless choice for beauty enthusiasts.
The Black Honey shade experienced a resurgence driven by TikTok influencers who highlighted its "just bitten" look. This renewed interest saw a significant boost in sales, with Clinique reporting that one tube of Black Honey Almost Lipstick is sold every three minutes in the United States.
Clinique's new Black Honey products will be available for purchase online at Clinique and Ulta from June 30.
The Clinique Pop Lip + Cheek Oil in Black Honey, priced at $27, is a dual-purpose product that conditions lips with a blend of nourishing oils while providing a sheer, dewy wash of color for the cheeks. Its formula includes safflower, jojoba, olive, sunflower seed, and castor oils, ensuring a hydrating finish.
Meanwhile, the Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black Honey, priced at $26, promises to add 51% more volume to lashes instantly. Its buildable formula features a built-in primer and rich pigments that deliver dramatic length and definition without clumping. The soft fiber brush helps to create a lush look, making eyes stand out.
Clinique is also introducing the High Impact Gel Tech Eyeliner in Black Honey, priced at $28. This ultra-pigmented gel eyeliner glides on smoothly and offers 24-hour wear on lids and 12-hour wear on the waterline. It is ophthalmologist-tested and safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
In addition to Black Honey, the eyeliner will be available in seven other shades: Black, Deep Denim, Bright White, Beaming Beige, Bronze Glow, Polished Pewter, and Sparkling Amethyst.
These new additions to the Black Honey lineup reflect Clinique's commitment to innovation while honoring the legacy of a classic product.
