Not Just Lip Service But Be a Beauty Activist with Body Shop

The Body Shop has launched a new, moisturizing Dragon Fruit Lip Butter. This product is the first product launched that gives its customers a chance to become a beauty activist and support a charity.

The Body Shop is supporting three charities - Center for Great Apes (animal welfare), Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (human rights), and Turtle Island Restoration Network (environmental protection) in the U.S. till Oct. 28. A portion of the sales proceeds from the Dragon Fruit Lip Butter will go to these charities.

Customers can choose the charity they want to support through a voting system in which they will be given a token to vote for any of these three charities with every in-store purchase. And if customers add the lip butter to their total purchase they will get an additional voting token. One can vote even on the online site.

“The Body Shop Foundation Lip Butter is a great way to extend the reach of our global funding to domestic charities that are important to our consumer. With the launch of the new The Body Shop Foundation Dragon Fruit Lip Butter, we can increase awareness and raise funds for organizations that speak to our values,” Lisa Jackson, CEO of The Body Shop Foundation said.
