Iris&Romeo is bringing its products to Sephora after securing Series A funding from True Beauty Ventures.
The California-based clean beauty brand's hero essentials are set to launch on Sephora's website Tuesday.
"Launching at Sephora is a pivotal moment for our brand. It gives us an opportunity to tell our story on a bigger level and for a whole new group of customers to try our products and fall in love," Iris&Romeo founder Michele Gough-Baril said in a press release. "[F]or me personally, it's a dream come true moment because I've worked with Sephora for many years on other brands, and to do it now with the brand I founded is beyond exciting."
Among the Iris&Romeo products that will be available for purchase at Sephora are the award-winning Weekend Skin SPF 50+ Vitamin C + Glow and fan-favorite Best Skin Days SPF30, a multifunctional product.
Amy Abrams, a vice president for merchandising and makeup at Sephora, expressed excitement over having the beauty brand as an addition to their growing "clean makeup" assortment.
"With its minimalist and simplified approach to beauty, Iris&Romeo offers multi-use products that are clean, high-performing, and seek to improve skin's wellness with every wear," Abrams said.
Iris&Romeo did not disclose the exact amount it has secured from its partnership with True Beauty, a firm centered on investing in beauty and wellness brands. .
However, the company said it is planning to use capital to "improve retail readiness." It aims to do this by improving supply chain management, brand-first content, and key hires.
"We are thrilled to bring on True Beauty Ventures as our Series A lead. Rich and Cristina's expertise in the early stage beauty space is unparalleled. Having Cristina on our board will be incredibly valuable as we scale," Iris&Romeo CEO Tara Desai said. "This Series A funding will unlock the brand's ability to reach more consumers. Our existing customer base is exceptionally loyal. Strengthening our ability to reach her in more places will accelerate our growth, especially within our 35+ demographic."
Iris&Romeo was founded in 2019 by Gough-Baril, who had two decades' worth of experience in the beauty industry prior to her company's launch.
The brand is known for its skin-friendly, multifunctional makeup products.
