Oprah Winfrey has addressed her recent dramatic physical transformation.
Winfrey, 69, discussed her weight loss journey while speaking to Entertainment Tonight's Kevin Frazier on the purple carpet at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles Wednesday.
Frazier complimented Winfrey, noting she looked stunning in purple, before asking about her weight loss secrets.
"What's going on? Because if this is WeightWatchers, please, sign me up tonight!" the reporter asked.
The media mogul responded, "It's not one thing, it's everything."
Winfrey highlighted just how much effort she's put in to achieve her slimmed-down figure, adding, "I intend to keep it that way."
"I was on that treadmill today," the media personality said.
Winfrey has worn purple at multiple events and appearances this year to promote "The Color Purple," and she continued that trend at the L.A. premiere of the film Wednesday. This time, however, she opted for a long-sleeved, floor-length gown a shade slightly lighter than the one she wore at the Academy Museum Gala last week.
Winfrey embraced minimalism with a twist, with her latest gown featuring a side slit that allowed a glimpse of her sheer, pointed purple pumps with a floral design.
She carried a dazzling purple clutch and accessorized the look with a statement ring in the same hue and elegant diamond drop earrings. Her slicked-back hair cascaded into dramatic curls, adding to the overall allure of her look.
The star's recent public appearances sparked speculation among fans about her potential participation in the latest celebrity weight loss trend: taking Ozempic, a type 2 diabetes medication.
But while she previously admitted that she had thoughts about using Ozempic, Winfrey remained steadfast in her inclination toward a more natural approach, consistently expressing her reluctance to take shortcuts.
During an episode of "Oprah Daily's The Life You Want: The State of Weight," featuring a panel of obesity specialists, Winfrey shared, "When I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time, I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, 'I've got to do this on my own.'"
"Because if I take the drug, that's the easy way out," she added.
Winfrey serves as a producer of "The Color Purple," which is slated for release in theaters on Dec. 25.
The upcoming film is an adaptation of "The Color Purple" stage musical, which was also based on Alice Walker's 1982 novel about the challenges faced by an African-American woman navigating life in the American South during the early 1900s.
In the original 1985 film adaptation, Winfrey portrayed the character Sofia, a role that garnered her an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress.
