Pamela Anderson opted once again for a natural look on the red carpet.
On Monday, the 56-year-old Canadian-American actress made another striking statement by confidently stepping onto the red carpet at the 2023 Fashion Awards in London without makeup.
The model looked elegant in her ensemble, layering a cream blazer over a crisp white t-shirt paired with loose white jeans. She complemented the outfit with open-toe black heels, showcasing a vampy pedicure that completed the chic look.
The "Baywatch" alum styled her hair in a casually tousled low ponytail and accessorized her look with small silver stud earrings.
This is not the first time Anderson made a bare-faced appearance at a fashion event.
During Paris Fashion Week, the "Barb Wire" star went makeup-free when she attended fashion shows like Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham, and Isabel Marant, showcasing her natural beauty.
Anderson's decision to appear without makeup at these events, where celebrities are typically glammed up by professional teams, received praise online.
However, the actress insisted that going viral or making a statement wasn't her intention.
"I felt so free. It was not meant to be a statement, it is not world peace, and I didn't know if anybody would notice," the actress told The Daily Telegraph. "I am not sitting in a makeup chair for three hours."
"I looked in the mirror and said, 'You are almost 60, this is good enough, just enjoy Paris and not play the game'," she added.
In a video published by Vogue France on YouTube, Anderson was getting ready for the Vivienne Westwood show when she shared her thoughts on her decision not to wear makeup for the event.
"I didn't come to Paris Fashion Week and think, 'I'm not gonna wear any makeup,'" the model said. "I don't know, something just kind of came over me, and I was dressing in these beautiful clothes, and I thought, 'I don't want to compete with the clothes. I'm not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room. I feel like it's just freedom. It's a release."
"I don't need a stylist. I don't have a stylist. I don't have a glam team. I'm just kind of doing this, freestyle," she added.
Anderson continued her makeup-free approach not only in Aritzia's fall 2023 Babaton campaign but also throughout her book tour.
This consistent preference starkly contrasts with her iconic bombshell image from the '90s, characterized by heavy eye makeup and voluminous curls, which defined her signature style during her youth.
In an Elle interview, Anderson disclosed that in the early stages of her career, she had minimal control over her appearance. She admitted that she simply followed what people advised her to do.
However, after the tragic passing of her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, in 2019 due to breast cancer, she decided to part ways with her signature look.
"She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it's just better for me not to wear makeup," she told the magazine.
