Cardi B has just made her runway debut.
On Saturday, the rapper confidently took to the runway at Balenciaga's pre-fall 2024 show on a street in Hancock Park in Los Angeles, marking her first-ever catwalk appearance.
The "WAP" hitmaker donned a striking cobalt blue faux fur coat, crossing her arms over her chest as she posed. Beneath the coat, the mother-of-two wore a sleek black bodysuit paired with pointed black boots that peeked out while she strutted down the runway.
She also sported a diamond chain bearing Balenciaga's logo around her neck, accompanied by bold diamond rings and coordinating ear studs.
Her hair was styled into a sleek, floor-skimming ponytail.
Cardi's beauty look was as attention-grabbing as the rest of her ensemble, featuring ultra-thin eyebrows and a dark red lip with black liner.
To celebrate the moment, the "Bongos" singer shared on X, formerly Twitter, a couple posts with photos of her in her runway outfit.
"On my way to chic fil A!" Cardi jokingly wrote in one of the posts.
"Dare to be different," she wrote in the second post.
Among the attendees of the Saturday's show was Kim Kardashian, who took a video of the "I Like It" hitmaker striding down the runway and shared it on her Instagram stories.
The Skims founder rocked a black zip-up jacket layered over a nude turtleneck, complemented by nude leggings featuring chic black detailing. She accessorized her outfit with futuristic black shades and carried an Erewhon shopping bag from the Balenciaga collaboration.
The star-studded event also included Kendall Jenner, who was elegantly clad in a black sleeveless fitted dress and a floor-skimming cape.
The event marked Balenciaga's first show since the controversy surrounding its 2022 holiday campaign, according to People. The campaign, featuring children holding teddy bears dressed in bondage attire, sparked massive backlash online.
In response to the negative feedback, the Paris-based luxury fashion house deleted all its Instagram photos and issued a statement addressing the matter.
"We strongly condemn child abuse; it was never our intent to include it in our narrative," the post read. "The two separate ad campaigns in question reflect a series of grievous errors for which Balenciaga takes responsibility."
