The Y2K trend is officially back as Juicy Couture introduces its 2021 spring/summer collection.
Remember when the OG influencers, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, were often spotted sporting a matching tracksuit paired with a truck hat and their large handbags? Now, the Los Angeles based brand is relieving the 2000 era with a modern take on their signature velour pieces.
Although the brand was on hiatus for years in the market, they came back with a loud bang through their "Come Hell or High Water" collection for spring/summer 2021.
Dropping this February 12, the luxe loungewear brand took to Instagram and teased fans with their upcoming pieces.
It definitely gave the market a major throwback vibe as it features their trademark tracksuit with emblazoned rhinestones of Juicy Couture logo at the back.
Aside from their colorful jackets and trousers, the brand is also set to release bra tops and briefs with elastic bands showcasing their name.
This will be perfect for those who are into a more athletic and edgy look.
Not only that, but they will also be launching another signature style, which is the embellished bodysuit, one-piece with asymmetrical details, and party dresses.
There's no stopping Juicy Couture from bringing back the Y2K aesthetic as they will also release a collection of logo handbags that comes in pastel blue and pink tones.

Juicy Couture's Spring/Summer 2021 Campaign
According to Vogue India, Juicy Couture's spring/summer 2021 campaign was modeled by "superstar entrepreneurs," including Lois Saunders, fashion designer and creative director behind the up-cycling clothing brand XBLUE, as well as Taiba Akhuetie, founder of beauty empire Keash London.
London-born stylist Georgia Pendlebury, who is also behind the brand's recent campaign, told Miss Vogue that Juicy Couture has a "distinct kind of fun and liberated sexuality" and symbolizes "feminine emancipation."
"It still means all those things to me, and we really wanted to channel that in the campaign," she furthered.
Moreover, Pendlebury also discussed how the brand retained its trademark design but with an up-to-date style.
"Those of us who remember the Paris Hilton era have grown up and experienced a very particular shift in fashion over the last decade," she said, adding, "Particularly the role and representation of women. It's fascinating to see how, years apart, we can explore the same signature pieces in such a different way."

The Rise of Juicy Couture
There's no denying that one of the key players when it comes to Y2K fashion is the million-dollar empire of Juicy Couture.
Founded by Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy in 1997 initially as a maternity clothing line.
Unfortunately, it did not take off and shifted to offering the market with comfortable yet stylish pieces; hence, the birth of their ever famous hoodies and jogger pants.
The brand quickly grew in popularity, all thanks to celebrities such as the Kardashians, Britney Spears, and more.
The entertainment culture established the brand with its iconic eye-catching tracksuits and accessories and later became a full-fledged lifestyle brand.
