Although it has never really gone out of style since it was considered as classic, and not to mention, protective style staple in the natural hair community, some A-listers are seen hopping on a trend and flaunting it on social media.

To recall, in early 2020, the beauty mogul faced a wave of backlash after she took to Instagram stories a never before seen photos taken by the Morelli Brothers.
The "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" star was accused of cultural appropriation after Kylie was photographed wearing blonde locks with her hair up and parted slightly off-center with long braids down to her shoulders.
