If it goes viral on TikTok, it must be good, and you have to scramble and get it. At the very least, that's what prompts the Gen Z crowd to try something new in makeup and skincare. As the New York Post reports, the latest item that's flying off the shelves is NYX Cosmetics' Shine Loud High Shine Lip Color.
This new lip product promises 16 hours of budge-free, no transfer wear. In the time of mask-wearing, that's enough incentive for beauty influencers to give it a shot.
Thanks perhaps to a video uploaded by TikTok user and makeup artist Stephanie Valentine (@glamzillaxo), which had 1.4 million views, 224,000 likes, and over 2000 comments, the Shine Loud liquid lipstick in now sold out on 18 out of 24 shades on NYX's official site and 15 out of 24 shades in Ulta.
At this point, you can still get some easily wearable shades at Ulta but the ones left on the NYX website are in shades of blue, teal, and purple. However, if you're up for something new, go for it. It won't break the bank at under $12 each.
The liquid lipstick is two-ended. There's the highly pigmented base coat, which Valentine instructs viewers to let dry for 90 seconds before applying the ultra-glossy top coat. With a kiss on her fingertips, she showed that NYX's guarantee of zero transfer is oh-so-true.
The lipstick is infused with a vitamin E derivative, apricot kernel oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, macadamia seed oil, and passion fruit seed oil, so even if the formula is transfer-free, it's not drying for the lips. It's also vegan and cruelty-free.

As the influence of TikTok may prevent you from getting your hands on this viral liquid lipstick right now, here are some other transfer-free options to try while you're waiting for a restocking.
Maybelline Superstay 24 Matte Ink Lipstick
This drugstore favorite is a hit among beauty editors and is listed in almost every list revolving around mask-friendly makeup. With 41 neutral and bright shades, you won't run out of options. One tube will only cost you $10. Harper's Bazaar says to make sure to moisturize lips before applying this matte formula.
L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick
Another drugstore hit is L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick. While other liquid matte lipsticks can be drying, this liquid lipstick features an oil-in-water formula that is suitable for dry lips. For extra staying power, Harper's Bazaar suggests lightly dusting translucent powder over liquid lipsticks.
Benefit Cosmetics Lovetint Cheek and Lip Stain
If you're not into lipsticks, then try a stain. Benefit Cosmetics is popular for its lip and cheeks stains, which now has several colors to choose from. While their original rose-tinted Benetint Cheek and Lip Stain is popular as ever, Glamour likes Lovetint's vibrant cherry shade. And who doesn't love a multi-use product?
The Lip Bar Matte Liquid Lipstick
This liquid lipstick comes highly recommended by Instyle and Elle beauty editors. It comes in 13 transfer-proof shades, but if you're looking for the perfect red, try Bawse Lady (deep red), Boy Trouble (bright cherry), or Hot Mama (classic).
