"Teen Wolf" and "Arrow" star Colton Haynes posted on his Twitter and Instagram feeds a photo of himself and his fiance Jeff Leathman kissing under fireworks. The caption read, "I SAID YES!"
The photo was said to be taken at Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where the couple went on vacation. "I'm so blessed and happy for the future and my life together with Jeff," Haynes told People Magazine.
If a proposal over fireworks already sounded perfect, the couple's big night did not stop there. In a statement, Haynes's rep said that Leathman also showed a personalized video message from Cher, who sang their favorite song, "I Got You Babe," and video messages from their family members and close friends, including Melanie Griffith, Serena Williams and Ally Maki. After Haynes accepted the proposal, the event continued with the fireworks display and the couple dancing to the song 'Marry You' by Bruno Mars.
This engagement came as a surprise to some fans, as 28-year-old Colton only announced the relationship with the 46-year-old florist last month, on Valentine's Day. MTV noted that at the time that Haynes revealed the relationship by saying, "It's not every day that someone comes into your life and makes you want to be a better man." There have also been some speculations of their engagement then, thanks to a romantic photo of the pair on a rooftop on February 14, but it seemed that their actual engagement came a little over a month later.
At this point there is no way to confirm how long the couple have actually been together, but Haynes seemed to be excited for his first marriage and has proceeded on posting romantic photos of the rest of their vacation together. Congratulations are in order for the beautiful couple.
