Demi Lovato blasted the thigh gap obsession by posting a photo on Instagram captioned, "Phuckkk yo thigh gap... #latinacurves," Saturday.
Lovato, looking physically fit and healthy, showed off her thighs in a pair of black high-waisted shorts while performing in Brisbane, Australia.
This isn't the first time she has addressed the issue.
"For some reason, this whole thigh gap thing has kind of swept over what people think is beautiful and if you have that naturally, then that's totally fine. My body doesn't naturally have that," the "Neon Lights" singer told E! News.
The "Skyscraper" singer believes that the ideal beauty defined by our society gets into people's brains because it's been repeated over and over.
Lovato posted a snap on Instagram in February, captioned, "Regardless of what society tells you these days... You don't have to have a thigh gap to be beautiful. It is possible to love your body the way it is. #fitness #health #acceptance #selflove."
"If you have one naturally, then great, embrace what you have. But, if you don't have one naturally, you don't have to starve yourself or engage in unhealthy behaviors," Lovato said to Entertainment Tonight.
Before the concert, Lovato shared a picture with a note saying, "Pre-show... #Brisbane you were amazing.."
Lovato's passion towards performing was evident when she posted another Instagram photo stating, "Just doin' what I love.. #demiworldtour #Brisbane."
Lovato arrived in Sydney over the weekend, after a show in Brisbane. The pop star was donned in a comfortable gym attire when she was spotted posing snaps for her fans, Daily Mail reported.
Following her concert in Australia, Lovato will perform in New Zealand towards the end of the month and will then travel to Southeast Asia.
Lovato is an advocate of women empowerment. The "Camp Rock" actress stated that your body and make up should not define who you are.
"At the end of the day, who you are is what people really see," the "Heart Attack" singer said.
