Marilyn Manson denies that he initiated the fight that took place at a local Denny's in Canada on Sunday, April 5.
Sources told TMZ that Manson had an argument with a group from another table and called the guy's girlfriend a b----.
The guy was furious, and as a response, he gave the 46-year-old musician a hit on the face.
On the contrary to reported allegations, Manson's manager said the rocker was having his meal when two girls approached him for a photograph. The lead vocalist simply complied and didn't criticize either one of them.
Manson said the guy came out of nowhere and delivered a blow to his face. His security grabbed the assailant, who was screaming about ruining the singer's next concert.
One of the artist's fans, who was in the restaurant located 210 kilometers south of Calgary, supported Manson's claim.
Johnny Scott told Toronto Sun that Manson arrived around 2:30 a.m. with a small group of people, including his security and a driver.
"Manson never got a chance to sit down," he said. "He was being friendly with everyone, anyone who wanted a picture, he would give them a picture, anyone who wanted an autograph he would give them an autograph."
"They were just talking and the guy just punched him right in the face without any provocation," he added.
A spokesperson from Lethbridge Police confirmed to E! News that they responded to a report of an altercation at Denny's restaurant around 2:45 a.m. on April 5.
"Investigation determined that three people had been involved in a physical altercation and sustained minor injuries," the spokesperson said. "No charges were laid and the file has been concluded."
Contradictory to what the spokesperson of Lethbridge Police stated, Manson plans to sue the guy, TMZ learned.
Manson and his make up artist, who was elbowed on the face by the same attacker, said they will go back to the cops in Alberta to press charges.
