Katy Perry was invited to perform at the halftime show of the upcoming Super Bowl, and when asked about what she's got planned, she teased a "colorful" show and guest stars who will hit the stage along with her, Detroit Free Press reported.
Perry was part of the press conference for the Super Bowl that was held on Thursday and of course, she was quickly asked about what she has prepared up her sleeves for the much-anticipated halftime show.
"I'm probably the only person in Super Bowl halftime history that will ever bring both a lion and sharks to the show," the "Roar" singer said, promising that her "colorful" halftime show is going to have animals while also having the "appropriate sexiness."
Not only that, Perry also promised a surprise guest who will be joining her on stage, according to Hollywood Life.
She already confirmed before that Lenny Kravitz will be joining her, but another guest star will make an apperance. The only clue Perry gave on who the surprise performer is was that she is an "old school" singer.
"I wanted to bring someone back, a throwback of sorts," Perry said. "It will be a real female-fun night. It's a bit old school."
She even added that as soon as the people hear the first chord of their collaboration, "jaws will drop, faces will melt."
Perry added that a majority of the performance will be sung live, except for parts that required "a lot of graphic effects" where a prerecorded track will be heard, according to USA Today.
Overall though, Perry said she was confident and beyond ready, saying she's been designing the show for months. In fact, she was so prepared she even had time to catch up on Netflix one night.
"It's a larger than life show," she said. "I've collaborated on everything. There is not a diamond on a show that has not gone past my eyes."
The television director for the show, Hamish Hamilton, also said that there's a lot to look forward to, noting, "This is a brand new show, brand new soundtrack and a brand new collaboration."
