As if to comfort the recession-striken consumers, another collaboration of high-profile designer with a budget-friendly retail giant is on its way.
This time around, Calvin Klein creative designer Francisco Costa is set to debut a limited edition for Macy's.
The designer's creations have appeared on the red carpet, worn by Hollywood fashionistas including Rooney Mara, Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, and Scarlett Johansson to name a few.
Starting from May 15, a capsule collection of crepe and jersey dresses will go on sale, with prices ranging from $135 to $180. The two-month collection will be among their highest price point, according to Macy's.
Costa's designs will help raise funds for the Amazon rainforest, as a part of Macy's "A Magical Journey To Brazil" campaign this spring.
The designs thus came from "the architecture in Brazil and the sunset on the horizon," the 47-year-old designer said.
"‘This fresh, youthful line of dresses reflects both my roots and the modern, yet timeless spirit of Calvin Klein," he told WWD.
Macy's will work with other designers for the special campaign, but only Costa's name has been revealed so far.
