So we offered up a fun hair tutorial during Halloween that mimicked the look Disney character Elsa rocks in the hit animated movie Frozen, but we think this look can totally work throughout the year!
Braids are always a great way to make a hairstyle look more complicated than it really is and deliver some serious elegance in no time flat.
Check out this intricate Bohemian Side Braid, courtesy of Miami based Master Stylist Raphael Reboh, owner of Femme Coiffure Salon.
Reboh has styled a-list tresses including Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Joan Collins, Adriana Lima, Bianca Jagger and even the late Joan Rivers. Femme has a location in Bal Harbor, The Ritz Carlton and is soon opening in Miami's Design District.
Read on to learn how to nail this style for yourself this holiday season:
- First start from the side of the eye and create a French braid finish it with a fishtail braid.
- You can let the hair dry naturally and do some curls with curlers. The braid should go down the crown to make it look thicker. You can also tease the hair first.
- Reboh says it's very important to bring the braid around the forehead and really form it around the face.
- Lift the braid to see the braid and to see the hairline. Reboh advises that you want to keep it natural.
Keep in mind this would be better for thicker hair because it will hold better and it also has to be long hair - you can rock it with either straight or curly texture.
"A product I would recommend for this style would be the Voluma from Renee Forturer ($27) because it will give the hair texture and the hair won't become sticky," Reboh instructed.
