Martin Freeman isn't afraid to go completely bare in front of the camera.
The "Sherlock" star talked about past sex scenes in films and TV shows during a guest appearance on Jonathan Ross' show, in which he revealed that being completely in the nude while filming is easier than using a "pouch" to conceal his private parts, Radio Times reported.
"It's not an easy thing to get naked in front of 80 people eating bagels or whatever," he told Ross of the experience. "I've done a few naked things in my time and after a while I stopped using what they give you.
"They give you a discrete pouch, a sock sort of thing. It's like a medieval purse," he continued.
But apparently, the "pouch" doesn't really stay on long enough so he prefers "going with what God gave [him]."
The "Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies" star revealed that pouches tend to fall off after a few scenes, so he prefers just filming in his birthday suit.
"Because it's so humiliating. I think if the woman is not offended, I would rather just be naked," he told the host.
Freeman also joked about the relationship between Sherlock (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) and his character on the hit BBC thriller, Dr. John Watson, Express UK noted.
"Not only are John and Sherlock not a couple but that me and Ben are not a couple," he said.
"So there are people that are actually absolutely determined that [my wife] Amanda is my beard… Me and [Benedict Cumberbatch] are friendly but we're not married!"
"The Jonathan Ross Show" airs Mondays on ITV at 10.35 p.m.
Meanwhile, Freeman's "Sherlock co-star recently joined the ranks of Marvel superheroes, taking on the role of Dr. Strange.
In an interview with "Hey U Guys" at the 2014 British Independent Film Awards, Cumberbatch shared how excited he is to be chosen to play Doctor Strange.
The "Imitation Game" actor said he is "really excited" for the gig but would like to focius on getting work done for the role first. "There's a lot of work to be done and I'm just at the beginning so I don't want to talk much about it," he explained. "But it's a thrilling gig to get."
Many actors were considered for the part, including Joaquin Phoenix, Jared Leto, Ewan McGregor and Tom Hardy.
"Stephen Strange's story requires an actor capable of great depth and sincerity," Marvel president Kevin Feige said in a statement, according to the Los Anegeles Times. "In 2016, Benedict will show audiences what makes Doctor Strange such a unique and compelling character."
