Rapper Nicki Minaj has released the cover art for her third album "The Pinkprint" via her official Instagram account, reports MTV.
The cover art for Minaj's new album, which has been pushed back from November 24 to a December 15 release, features a pink fingerprint on a white background, her name and the name of the record. According to the caption Minaj wrote for the photo, the cover she released is for the deluxe version of the album.
Minaj also thanked Kanye West in her caption, hinting that the concept for the cover came from the "Yeezus" rapper's creative agency DONDA. The artwork was made by Joe Perez, Jenna Marsh and Bryan Rivera, said the "Super Bass" rapper in a tweet.
Minaj teased the release of the artwork on November 1 on her Twitter account, saying: "I'll release #ThePinkPrintCover on MONDAY MORNING. I'll tell you the exact time on Sunday night. 12.15.14 #ThePinkPrint~"
The release of the cover art was preceded by two video teasers for the rapper's forthcoming album, says Refinery 29.
The teasers, which were directed by Khalil Khavon, featured a mashup of all the videos to the songs Minaj has released as part of her forthcoming album, including the smash hit "Anaconda" and the collaboration with British singer Jessie J and pop star Ariana Grande called "Big Bang."
The third single off Minaj's "Pinkprint" album called "Only," which features rapper Drake and R&B singer Chris Brown, was released last week, according to USA Today.
The song has since garnered attention for its explicit lyrics and controversial cover art which featured an illustration of Minaj in a bodysuit with the emblem of her label Young Money, rapper Lil Wayne in a suit and Drake dressed as a pontiff.
"The Pinkprint" is Minaj's follow up to 2012's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," which spawned hits including "Starships" and "Va Va Voom."
