Lea Michele has attended the amfAR L.A. Inspiration Gala in Hollywood Wednesday, Oct. 29, with new boyfriend Matthew Paetz, marking their first public appearance as a couple.
The pair, who met during the shooting of the music video for Michele's second solo single "On My Way" in April, happily posed for photographers while cuddling up at their table, as shown in the image above.
The 28-year-old "Glee" star - who wore a strappy, shimmering Versace gown and Jen Meyer jewelry - and Matthew were in sync during the entire event, hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and featured a surprise performance by her estranged husband Chris Martin, according to Yahoo Celebrity UK. They were seen photographed laughing and whispering to each other while flipping through the program for the event. See the photo below.
"Such an honor being a part of last night's incredible evening.... #AMFAR honoring #TomFord... it's nights like last night that inspire me to work hard and always use your powers for good to help make a change," Michele wrote on Instagram Thursday, Oct. 30, sharing a snap of her table and escort cards bearing her and Paetz's names.
The pair was also photographed greeting "Glee" and "American Horror Story" co-creator Ryan Murphy. Michele shared the said photo on Twitter, with the following caption: "Thank you @MrRPMurphy for all the incredible work you do.. Honored to be your friend. #amfAR â¤"
Michele and Paetz were first linked over the summer, about a year after the death of boyfriend and former "Glee" co-star Cory Monteith. The Broadway star's association with Paetz raised eyebrows after TMZ broke a story claiming that the latter is a former gigolo.
In September, Paetz reportedly moved into the actress' Hollywood Hills home, according to People.
While a lot of fans are happy for Michele, there are still a few who give her a hard time about her relationship with Paetz, accusing her of moving on from Monteith too fast.
However, during the singer's Dec. 12, 2013 appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" - her first TV interview since the July 13 death of Monteith - she said she knew Monteith would want her to move on. "He would want me to live my life," she said as quoted by Yahoo Celebrity UK.
