Jane Lynch is back to being single after a judge has finalized her divorce from her now ex-wife Dr. Lara Embry, 16 months after the actress announced that they were divorcing.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ralph C. Hofer approved Lynch and Embry's divorce judgment Monday, according to the Associated Press.
The Golden Globe-winning actress has to pay her clinical psychologist former lover a whopping $1.2 million in a property settlement spread over a two-year period, according to TMZ.
Aside from that, Embry is also entitled to receive half of Lynch's royalties from several entertainment projects, including several seasons of the Fox musical dramedy "Glee," in which she played Sue Sylvester.
Embry is also being granted $847,485, half of the ex-couple's several bank and trust accounts. She also gets half of their $56,810 tax refund, half of the proceeds from their Mullholland Tennis Club membership, their L.A. Yacht club membership, and Francis the dog, among many others.
Lynch and Embry, who had first met each other at a fundraiser in San Francisco, Calif. in 2009, tied the knot in May 2010 in Sunderland, Mass., New York News Daily reported. In June of 2013, the "Hollywood Game Night" host announced that she and Embry were divorcing after three years of marriage.
Lynch opened up about her divorce from Embry during an appearance on the web show "Larry King Now" in July last year.
"It's not dramatic. It's not a horrible thing. It's something that we're dealing with," the actress said at the time, as quoted by People. "It's two people who just decide it's better to go apart than stay together."
Lynch added at time that she and Embry remain friends, and she will stay close to Embry's daughter Haden. "All's good," she said. "We have a little girl - she has a little girl who's very dear to me. She's 10, and she's doing great."
