Hugh Jackman has suffered from skin cancer for the third time in less than 12 months, his rep confirmed to Us Weekly, adding that the 46-year-old actor is "all good" now.
To address the news, the Australian hunk shared a cover image of Baz Luhrmann's speech song "Everybody's Free (to Wear Sunscreen)" on Instagram, and simply captioned it, "SUNSCREEN!"
The Oscar-nominated actor had a basal cell carcinoma removed in November 2013, and in May of this year.
Jackman spoke about his second skin cancer treatment at the global premiere of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in New York City in May, according to People,
When asked about how his face was doing after the removal of cancer on his nose, Jackman - who was still wearing a bandage on the side of his nose at the time - laughed and replied, "My face? It's fine, it's good. Thank you for asking. I have a few stitches, I had a basal cell carcinoma taken out."
The father of two then asked the media to inform their readers on skin cancer prevention. "Tell all your readers: get check ups, wear sunscreen. It's all about prevention," he pleaded.
"I figure for some people reading it, if Wolverine says it, it might be different than if your parent or wife or husband says it," Jackman added.
In the same month while promoting "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in Beijing, China, Jackman said that he would probably have many more skin cancerous growths following the removal of a second one from his nose.
"I'm realistic about the future and it's more than likely that I'll have at least one more but probably many more, which is not uncommon for an Aussie particularly from English stock growing up in Australia where I don't remember ever being told to put sunscreen on," he told the Associated Press at the time, as quoted by Fox News.
"But the beauty of this is it's all preventable," he added. "It's just about getting proper check-ups. I can be typical man, a little lazy, I couldn't be bothered and now I'm not lazy at all."
