Stanley Tucci and wife Felicity Blunt is set to welcome their first child together!
While attending the Mario Batali Foundation Dinner at Del Posto in New York City Sunday, Oct. 19, Tucci, 53, who plays Caesar Flickerman on "The Hunger Games" film series, confirmed to Us Weekly that he and Blunt are expecting a baby.
"I'm very excited to be a dad. It's incredible," the Oscar-nominated actor told the magazine. "I'm most excited to have a baby with Felicity and for the baby to be healthy."
"The sex is of no concern to me," he said, with a laugh. "The sex of the baby, that is."
When asked what kind of mother he thinks Blunt will be? "A great one!" he replied.
This will be Tucci's fourth child. The "Transformers: Age of Extinction" star was previously married to Kathryn Tucci, with whom he had three children. The two tied the knot in 1995, but Kathryn died in 2009 after battling breast cancer, Entertainment Tonight reported.
Tucci and Blunt - who got engaged in 2011 - were first introduced to each other in 2006 by Tucci's "The Devil Wears Prada" co-star and Felicity's sister, Emily Blunt. The two got married in a civil service in summer 2012 followed by a larger ceremony at Middle Temple Hall in London in September that year, People reported. They were feted by Emily and her husband John Krasinski, Meryl Streep, Steve Buscemi, Colin Firth and Ewan MacGregor.
Emily and Krasinski began dating in November 2008 and got engaged in August 2009. They tied the knot in July 10, 2010 in Como, Italy, and welcomed their first child together, baby girl Hazel, on Feb 16.
Tucci can be next seen on "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" that opens in theaters on Nov. 21. He is currently filming the drama movie "Spotlight," which centers on Boston Globe's "Spotlight" team and their coverage of the Massachusetts Catholic sex abuse scandal.
