Featured in the trailer of the upcoming film "Gangman 1970" starring South Korean superstar Lee Min Ho was Freddie Aguilar's hit song "Anak."
After its release in the Philippines in 1979, the said song by "Pyramid" hit maker Charice's fellow Filipino musician was recorded in more than 20 languages with more than 100 versions around the world.
"Anak" went on to become a hit song in the 1980s in the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and other countries in Western Europe among others.
Originally titled "Gangnam Blues," the said noir action film marks Lee's first major role on the big screen and is set to be released in 2015, according to ABS-CBN News.
Known for his role in the TV show "Boys Over Flowers," Lee said in an interview with Asia One Entertainment he does not think it is a matter of living up to the success of the said drama.
The 27-year-old South Korean actor explained there is a "maximum of two to three productions that an actor or actress can be involved in a year" in the South Korean entertainment industry.
"Given the constraints, we really want to make the most out of the opportunities that we're given. We really want to do well and it's not only a matter of success," he added.
In "Gangnam 1970," Lee plays a man who gets caught up in the power struggles during the real estate craze in Gangnam in the 1970s, when the said district in Seoul was still under development and political powers and darker organizations are in conflict.
