Halloween is the best time to experiment with your makeup and try some things you wouldn't normally do. Whether you are planning on being a unicorn, zombie, or Cinderella, bold lashes complete your look with any makeup and can take your costume to that next level.
Hollywood makeup artists Lorna Umphrey and Leah Rial of Wisdom In Beauty, are here with their costume-ready make-up tips!
Brush on Lashes. The quickest and easiest solution to lush lashes is mascara. "One of our current favorites is an Australian mascara brand called Cherry Blooms created by Jellaine Ross ($59)," the experts told us.
This Brush-on Fibre Eyelash Extension mascara literally mimics the look of having eyelash extensions without the commitment. The mascara gel acts as a base and a sealer, keeping the fibres intact so they don't fall off into your eyes.
"This is a great option if you have a long night ahead of you and worried about false lashes becoming loose throughout the evening," Umphrey recommended.
Fake It 'Til You Make It. Another option (which takes a steady hand and a little practice) are false eyelashes.
"The beauty of fake lashes is that they come in so many shapes, sizes and colors and best of all, they're temporary," Rial said.
"Nearly every cosmetic line now has their own line of lashes, and they are made with materials ranging from real human hair to synthetic and even mink hair, my latest choice," Rial explained.
The beauty duo told us that a more natural looking pair called, Are those Real ($30) are great if you want a natural look for your costume. This false pair are made from mink, so you are able to curl them like you would your natural lashes.
