Super Bowl buzz has been all about Gisele Bundchen, and still is. The supermodel's comment after Tom Brady's team lost Sunday's game right away turned all media spotlight on herself.
“My husband cannot f----- throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times,” Bundchen said, blaming Patriot's loss on her husband's teammates.
"She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up," New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs said Tuesday during the team's victory rally at Met Life Stadium on Tuesday.
Next day, however, Jacobs took back his words.
"Given the fact that it's a colleague of mine's wife, I do apologize for saying that, because I shouldn't have said that," Jacobs apologized on "The Doug Gottlieb Show" on ESPN Radio, Wednesday. "It's his wife and I should respect that just as much as anyone else."
Reactions to Bundchen's comment have been quite supportive.
Adriana Lima, fellow Brazilian supermodel, defended Bundchen as she made a visit to New York's Victoria's Secret store on Wednesday.
"Leave her alone," Lima declared in front of reporters.
“Being a celebrity, anything you do, you say, you’re being followed,” Lima told in an interview with Fox News. "You are judged by anything you do, by any movement,” she added.
"It was a huge game, you know. And things happen."
"She is standing up for her man, Gisele didn't do anything wrong," Donald Trump told Access Hollywood.
Brady has not made any comment on what his wife said.
Though Gisele may not have been professional in her reaction to her man's loss, she is a professional model and her time is here. At the end of the day, Gisele's main job is to walk elegantly on the runway.
And now the Super Bowl season is now over, and New York Fashion Week has dawned upon New York City. Hopefully Bundchen will recover from the tragedy and shine her talent where it should.
