Diem Brown recently got out of the hospital with both good and bad news to bear.
The MTV reality star spoke to People about her recent release from the hospital and said, "Being home makes me feel that much closer to normal. It's a big step in the right direction. My mind is not really on the same level as my body. My mind thinks I can get up and do anything I want, and my body doesn't really let me."
"It's frustrating to work through. Going back and forth to the bathroom feels like a marathon. It's like, 'Why is this taking so much energy?' I need a chair in the elevator! I hate that feeling!" she added.
In a separate interview with E! News, Brown said that she can't wait to have one painless, fun day.
"That would help restart everything. Since I'm basically confined to my apartment, I'm in nesting mode. I want to rearrange my place and make it look like a new space," she said.
However, despite Brown's recent release from the hospital, recovery has slowed down for the reality star because doctors discovered a new tumor in her stomach lining so she would need further treatment, CNN reported.
"What scares me most is thinking about how long the road is. This one has kind of thrown me for a big loop, to realize how serious this is," she explained.
Luckily, Brown's friends are with her throughout her journey through fighting cancer. Alicia Quarles, her best friend, shared, "I came into Diem's apartment this morning with my friend Julie to take her to the hospital. To our shock, Diem moved the couch!"
"We knew she had to be feeling better at least a little, to have enough strength to move a couch," she added. Quarles even revealed that Brown moved the couch with her hips.
