Rihanna is reportedly making a cameo appearance in the upcoming James Bond movie dubbed as "Bond 24."
Producers of the big screen project are said to have approached the 26-year-old Barbadian singer to appear in the film.
"Rihanna is a big fan of the Bond films and has always loved the idea of appearing in one," a source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper, as quoted by OK magazine. "She didn't even need to think about it, she knows she wants to do it. She's really excited."
But it seems that the "Diamonds" hitmaker will only have a small part in the next installment of classic spy franchise.
"There have definitely been discussions of her joining the cast to be a Bond Girl," a source confirmed to Hollywood Life. "But she will not be the most focused Bond Girl if she gets the part. It will be more of a glorified cameo."
"Something that they have done in the past with people like Madonna, it will be a brief part of the film if she ends up making an appearance," explained Hollywood Life's tipster.
Daniel Craig, who will reprise his role as the iconic British spy for his fourth Bond movie, previously said that Rihanna would be his dream Bond girl, according to Female First.
The 46-year-old hunky actor admitted that he chose the "We Found Love" hitmaker over Beyonce, because the former is "dirtier." Craig's remark prompted Chris Brown's former girlfriend to say: "This makes me happy."
While Rihanna will not play a Bond Girl, she could be the one singing the theme song for the movie.
"They are actually looking for her to do the theme and the role would just be an added bonus," Hollywood Life's source added.
Aside from Craig, Ralph Fiennes will also return as M as well as Naomie Harris as MI6 field agent-turned-secretary Eve Moneypenny; Rory Kinnear as MI6 chief of staff Bill Tanner; and Ben Wishaw as the MI6 quartermaster Q.
MGM, Sony and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced last summer that "Bond 24" is slated to be released in the US on Nov. 6, 2015.
