‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Dev Answers Questions About The Game

Michael Condrey, co-founder and head of Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," answered questions from fans about the upcoming game, IGN reported.

According to Condrey, the game will be available to download on the Xbox online store days before its schedule release date. In addition, "Advanced Warfare" will feature various game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination and Search and Destroy upon its release.

When the studio head was asked regarding the maps in the game, he said that aside from the 13 included, there will also be bonus maps as well as classic ones from previous "Call of Duty" (COD) games, according to Game Spot.

"We actively listen to fan feedback and, as fans of the franchise ourselves, we look at great classic maps that might be exciting to bring to Advanced Warfare," Condrey said.

"Atlas Gorge, available in the Collector's Edition, was inspired by one of our classic favorites, Pipeline from COD4," he added. "It's the only classic COD map available at launch."

As for the competitive play modes of "Advanced Warfare," Condrey said the studio took cues from what gamers want and included both new and classic competition-based matches in the game.

"The competitive community is important to us and we've listened closely," he explained. "We've brought back competitive favorite modes like CTF, Hardpoint, and Round-Based Dom."

"We also introduced a new mode, Uplink, built for team play that we think is going to be a hit with fans, competitive and public alike," Condrey added. "We've worked closely with key competitors to design fast-paced, small- to medium-sized maps, with clear three-lane designs."

"We're working on competitive ranked play, improved broadcaster features, and more," the studio head continued.

"Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" will be released on Nov. 4 of this year and will be available for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
