For the benefit of the Muhammad Ali Center, "When I Was Your Man" hit maker Bruno Mars will have a concert in Louisville at the Kentucky International Convention Center on Sept. 20, Saturday.
In cooperation with Cable Music, the Calabar Group and Horseshoe Southern Indiana, the event is intended to raise money to help support the center.
Boxing legend Muhammad Ali will attend the concert in his hometown Louisville.
All Ticketmaster outlets and the Kentucky Exposition Center Ticket Office will sell tickets for the concert, which is the first of two big upcoming events featuring Ali.
The other event that will be held in Louisville on Sept. 27 is the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards, which is set to honor actress Susan Sarandon and NFL Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown, according to Miami Herald.
With Bruno Mars as the main act, the concert will also serve as a commemoration of Ali's match with George Forman four decades ago.
Opening acts include the Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards and Southern Sirens, according to Louisville.
Meanwhile, Mars's hit song "Marry You" recently helped a man propose to his girlfriend through a flash mob proposal in the city centre of Plymouth, Devon, Express reported.
Sitting outside a coffee shop celebrating her 37th birthday, Alysia Gimblett was approached by buskers singing "Marry You," which is the fourth single from Bruno Mars's debut album "Doo-Wops and Hooligans."
After the performance went on and the crowd grew in size, Gimblett's 42-year-old boyfriend Scott Thomson suddenly appeared wearing a kilt and asked her to be his wife as the song "Marry You" closed.
Overcome with tears of joy, Gimblett immediately said yes, which was followed by a loud round of applause from the people who witnessed the proposal.
It took Thomson three months to rehearse the flash mob proposal with street musicians and volunteers.
