Carrie Underwood In Tears at the ACM Honors Event; The Band Perry Offers to Babysit the Former 'American Idol' Winner's Baby

Carrie Underwood got a little bit too emotional at the ACM Honors Event when she received the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award on Tuesday, September 9.

The former "American Idol" winner was in tears when she delivered her speech and thanked her friends and family for all of their support, according to SFGate.

"Thank you to my family and my husband tonight, very supportive and wonderful to me. I have the best team in the universe. And I feel like I don't get enough chances to thank them publicly," she said.

After tears fell from her eyes, the expectant mother made the crowd laugh when she said, "What is wrong with me?"

Following the event, Underwood posted a photo via Instagram that featured her beautiful pink dress and a backdrop of the stage's set up, USA Today's Entertain This noted.

She wrote, "Had such a great night at the ACM Honors! Now everyone can go back to making fun of me for crying during my speech!"

Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child this spring and the couple shouldn't really worry about finding their baby a sitter.

The Band Perry volunteered to babysit the couple's baby and exclusively confirmed it when they had a brief chat with E! News at the Fashion Rocks 2014 at Brooklyn's Barclay Center.

"We told them we would babysit if they ever need us to, so we are here, give us a call," Kimberly told the publication.

The Band Perry also confirmed that they knew about Underwood's pregnancy even before she went public with her announcement.

"Well, you know, Carrie is a dear friend of ours and she was at my wedding, she and Mike. We actually heard the news a little bit early before the rest of the world did and we are just so thrilled for them. They are such great human beings and they are going to be great parents," she added.
