Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder both currently star in the hit CW series "The Vampire Diaries." However, multiple sources are now saying that Dobrev may quit the show because of an ongoing tension between her, Somerhalder and the latter's current girlfriend, Nikki Reed.
"TVD" fans all know that Dobrev and Somerhalder once dated and the two decided to end their relationship several months back.
At present, Somerhalder is already dating "Twilight" star Reed and Dobrev is, well, she's still single.
Multiple sources also revealed that Reed has been hanging out with Somerhalder's cast members and Dobrev is not too happy about it.
Reed and Dobrew were allegedly "seen pretending to be BFFs while secretly muttering curse words at each other," Celeb Dirty Laundry wrote.
The two used to be really good friends until Reed "snagged" Somerhalder from "The Vampire Diaries" actress, Inquisitr noted.
An insider also told the publication that Dobrev is not at ease seeing Reed on set all the time, according to the Christian Post.
"For one, she simply doesn't want to deal with her ex-boyfriend anymore, especially not when he keeps flaunting his new relationship in the face. And for another, she actually has a shot at developing a legit movie career, something that Ian already tried and failed," the source told Celeb Dirty Laundry.
On the other hand, Reed is frequenting "The Vampire Diaries" set because she's worried that not being around would make it possible for her boyfriend and Dobrev to get back together, according to Inquisitr.
Other than these rumors, Dobrev may quit "The Vampire Diaries" soon because she wants to pursue a career in the movie industry, Movie Pilot reported.
After her successful film "Let's Be Cops," the publication noted that it was Dobrev's involvement in the film that served as the movie's biggest selling point.
