Taylor Swift was recently interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine, where she talked about her upcoming single "Bad Blood."
According to the "Shake It Off" songstress, "Bad Blood" is a song that she wrote in reference to another artist who she's been having an ongoing feud with. She did not deliberately say that the song was about Katy Perry.
"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' Then last year, she did something so horrible," Swift said.
"I was like, 'Oh, we're straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational - you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it," she explained.
Now, an interview with a former Swift and Perry dancer from last year resurfaced and fans of both artists are speculating that the "Red" singer may just be referring to the "Roar" songstress, according to Hallels.
The dancer, Lockhart Brownlie did an interview with Examiner where he said, "I was with Taylor for the first six months. It was a great experience and she's a great person to work with, but then Katy contacted us."
"Obviously, we were with Katy for 2 ½ years, she's like family to us, so we are like, 'absolutely.' We weren't really dancing in Taylor's tour anyway so I had got a little bored and I really wanted to do a promo tour," he added.
In addition to Brownlie's revelations, the backup dancer also added that working with Perry was more fun because she's older and less guarded, to the point the she can do her own thing, Contact Music noted.
Swift, on the other hand, is also fun but is "very untouchable."
