'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 SPOILERS 2014: New Promo Hints Nina Dobrev's Elena Starting To Move On Amid Grief, Paul Wesley's Stefan Finds Love But Not With Caroline

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is just around the corner and The CW is teasing loyal fans of the big changes on the show when it returns this fall with a new and longer sneak peek to Elena's grief following last season's finale, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In August, avid viewers of TVD were treated with a 30-second preview, which was apparently not enough to give everyone a clear picture of what lies ahead after Season 5's heart-wrenching finale that left Nina Dobrev's Elena grieving over the deaths of Ian Somerhalder's Damon and Kat Graham's Bonnie.

This week, The CW has released more footage of the upcoming sixth season, and it appears that there will be some major changes when the hit vampire-driven show returns this fall season.

In the teaser, Elena could be seen voicing out her thoughts on Damon's passing, speaking out on how the older Salvatore brother. The trailer hints that this is going to be Elena's attempt to start anew and move on.

"I want to thank you for giving me everything I ever wanted: the love that consumed me, adventure, passion. There's nothing more that I could have asked for - except for it to last forever," Elena could be heard saying while a montage of her happy times with Damon plays.

Meanwhile, since "Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is going to pick up just a couple months following the Season 5 finale, everyone could be seen still trying their best to move on after Damon and Bonnie's departure.

Despite her efforts of moving on with her life, Elena is still desperate to see Damon again and she's willing to do everything.

As for Stefan, he may have found a new romance despite the grieving atmosphere of Mystic Falls. However, contrary to earlier spoilers that he is going to engage into a relationship with Caroline, the new sneak peek teases the appearance of a new woman in his life.

The TVD preview even shows Stefan revealing his real identity to his new love interest, saying, "I'm a vampire" when he latter asks him to tell her something about himself.

Interestingly, just last Friday, Sept. 5, Ian Somerhalder teased show fans by sharing a screenshot of the premiere episode on social media, Christian Post has learned.

"Wow, it's started! This is a screen shot. I'll probably get in trouble for it, from the first episode," he captioned a screenshot from the first episode.

"Hmmm, who am I talking to???" he added. "Here I am, some post production work on Season 6 of The Vampire Diaries with our INCREDIBLE post-production team. The post-production team on this show is second to none-they, like our crew, are our unsung heroes of the stories on screen that get seen by you! If anything please thank these amazing people and show them some love! Thank you! Love, Ian."

On other TVD news, the show's 2014 official convention and fan meet in Las Vegas is set to happen this Sept. 12-14, reported Guardian Liberty Voice.

Actors who are confirmed to be making an appearance at the convention include Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Steven R. McQueen, Daniel Gillies, Charles Michael Davis, Matthew Davis, Phoebe Tonkin, Kat Graham, Michael Trevino, Zach Roerig, Paul Telfer, Micah Parker, Rick Cosnett, and Chase Colman. Unfortunately, lead actress Nina Dobrev won't be attending.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 is set to premiere on Oct. 2 on The CW.
