The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is pregnant with her second child.
Multiple sources confirmed that Kate is already suffering from morning sickness, just as she did when she was pregnant with Prince George, according to Metro.
Nicola James, trustee of the charity Pregnancy Sickness Support, confirmed that there is a relatively high chance for The Duchess of Cambridge to suffer morning sickness, Mirror UK noted.
"It's highly likely that if you have had it before you will have it again and it's generally worse in subsequent pregnancies. It starts earlier and is usually more severe. But if it was treated well last time and you can get things in place, you might be all right. Some women even go as far as seeing their consultant and being put on medication as soon as they get a positive pregnancy test."
Clarence House was first to confirm the news via Twitter and wrote, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child."
In another tweet, Clarence House wrote, "The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that Their Royal Highness are expecting their second child," the Hollywood Life noted.
Kate's delicate pregnancy means that she will be treated by doctors at the Kensington Palace to ensure that everything is safe for her and her unborn child.
This would also mean that she could not attend a planned engagement with husband, Prince William in Oxford on Monday, September 8.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister David Cameron was equally delighted to hear the news.
"Many congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. I'm delighted by the happy news that they're expecting another baby," he wrote on Twitter.
Labor Leader Ed Miliband wrote, "Fantastic to hear that Prince George will soon be a big brother! Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their happy news."
