Bethenny Frankel showed off her bikini body in a new Instagram photo she posted Wednesday, Sept. 3, and while some of her followers think her appearance looks awesome, there are also a few who claim she appears too skinny and unhealthy.
In the yet another controversial pic, the 43-year-old "Real Housewives of New York City" star and owner of cocktail company Skinnygirl is seen wearing a two-piece printed swimsuit while sitting on top of a classic yellow miniature Ferrari.
"Should I buy this peanut Ferrari for my peanut? Isn't it cute?!!" she captioned the pic.
But instead of taking their intention to the antique car, some Instagram users took the opportunity to attack the reality star for her skinny figure.
"Love you but this is not skinny girl it's skeleton girl," commented user mrskoslicki.
Another user drong1234 wrote, "I'm sorry I just love you because you say what's on your mind but my god it's time to put some clothes on eat some food you look under nourished and you too old to be with all of you to show."
"Way too skinny. Need a little fat in our old age," wrote user momof2grs.
"This isn't a healthy look and the profuse compliments are pretty strange, honestly," commented another Instagram user kseymour1980.
This is not the first time Frankel sparked controversy on the image-sharing site.
Frankel's figure as well as her parenting style were also slammed by netizens last July after she posted an Instagram photo of herself wearing her four-year-old daughter's Hello Kitty pajamas.
"[The picture] can appear to be alarming. I am not surprised that people would think that she is putting out the wrong message to the world about body image," Dr. Sue Cornbluth, who has never treated the star or her daughter, told Radar Online.
"My advice to Bethenny Frankel is to (1) have a conversation with her daughter about healthy body image and (2) be more careful about what she posts online," added Dr. Cornbluth.
Frankel admitted in 2011 that she used to starve herself and then binge on fatty foods. But she claimed she stopped doing all that in 2006 when she started to exercise and take in smaller portions of food, New York Daily News reported.
Frankel created the Skinnygirl cocktail company in April 2011 and later sold the company to Fortune Brands' Beam Global for an estimated $100 million, according to Today.
