Country singer Chris Young has confirmed his speedy recovery following an accident involving a knife back in June.
The "Who I Am With You" singer underwent surgery on his left hand two months ago after damaging his tendons with a knife in a cooking accident, according to People.
Around that time, Young tweeted, "So this weekend will be interesting... Shows while wearing a sling... #firstforme I won't be telling you guys to clap with me haha."
Now, Young has confirmed that he's making a full recovery. "I can do almost everything now, but I'm about two months away from being able to play guitar."
"It's still hard to cut meat, but there was good looking steak at backstage catering this summer. I wanted it really bad but I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of everybody so I took it back to my bus, and was totally embarrassed when I was busted gripping the fork in my mouth to hold down the steak while I used my good hand to saw," he joked.
Young, who is currently celebrating the success of his sixth number one song, "Who I Am With You," also dished that he's become more careful now than ever, Music Times reported.
"I've learned a lot in my life, but the big lesson is, 'If a knife falls off the counter, jump back!'"
Meanwhile, talking about his current album "A.M.," Young confirmed that he knew something was missing from it at the time of recording.
"I needed a love song for this record. We had an 'I love tequila song,' but I needed something with more meaning. As soon as I heard it, I called music exec Rusty Gaston and said, 'Please don't play this for anyone else! I want it!' I love to sing love songs and audiences love to hear them. We've heard lots of stories from fans about this song and what it means to them."
