Toy maker Funko recently announced that it will release a dancing baby Groot in the near future, CNet reported.
The toy was designed after the scene in James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" film where a baby Groot, still attached to his flowerpot, was waving his branch-like arms and dancing behind Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer character.
Ever since the release of the film and the endearing nature of the scene, many fans have started creating their own versions of the baby Groot.
As for Funko's toy, it's part of the company's Pop Vinyl line of products.
Ryan Penagos, Marvel's executive editorial director took to Twitter to announce Funko's latest product, according to IGN.
"It's real! The first official Dancing Groot toy, from the amazing folks at @OriginalFunko," he posted.
But unlike the character from the film and other fan-made creations, Funko's officially licensed Dancing Baby Groot is a bobble-head figurine on top of a flowerpot platform. This means the toy's head will be the only part that can move.
The Dancing Baby Groot is not the only "Guardians of the Galaxy" character-based toy from Funko. The company also offers mini figurines modeled after Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax and Rocket. It also has a toy for the adult version of Groot.
Funko announced through Twitter that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" toys will be released on September.
As to when toy aficionados can get their hands on the Dancing Baby Groot, Penagos tweeted they can start pre-ordering the item by next week, Slash Film reported.
"For those asking about when you can get your Dancing Groot - pre-orders will start real soon," he tweeted. "Official price/release info next week!"
The Marvel executive also added that aside from the Dancing Baby Groot, the toy company is also planning to develop other Groot-based toys.
