#5 DKNY MYNY
Talk about a scent with star power! Recently, Rita Ora, who is the new face of DKNY, celebrated the launch of the brand's new fragrance alongside Chrissy Teigen, Hannah Bronfman and thousands of New Yorkers inside Manhattan's Madison Square Park. The much buzzed about scent, which comes packaged in a silver heart-shaped bottle, is said to be inspired by the concert jungle itself. The different squares of this cover even come to symbolize the collective interpretations of the city of New York. The gift for Gotham features notes that included raspberry, galbanum and pink pepper in the output, Egyptian jasmine, freesia and orris root at the heart, and in the background, heart of patchouli, vanilla absolute, musk and ambergris linked. It's a fun, daring scent that can be worn by the modern urban woman day or night.
#4 Issey Miyake Nuit d'Issey
Sharp, crisp and a bit mysterious, Issey Miyake's new woody-spicy scent is undoubtedly the best men's fragrance to debut this fall. Top notes include zesty citruses of bergamot and grapefruit and the heart of leather accords, enhanced spices, black pepper, trees and vetiver. The base notes of rich black tree, patchouli and incense. Meanwhile, berries bean round out a sexy, strong yet elegant, masculine scent inspired by the night, which is perfectly captured in the sleek black bottle designed by Fabien Baron.
#3 Christian Siriano Silhouette
The "Project Runway" alum turned CFDA designer has finally launched his much anticipated first fragrance. With the stunning Coco Rocha is heading up the campaign, Silhouette is feminine, fresh, modern and surprisingly sophisticated for such a spunky personality behind it. The top notes of Silhouette include a combination of cassis, wet greens and purple berries, which were inspired by the bright and crisp fabrics Siriano often incorporates into his designs. Inspired by Siriano's Spring-Summer 2013 blue tulle dress, the fragrance unfolds in ethereal layers; delicate floating petals of jasmine, rose and freesia create a sense of innocence and femininity with a fun, playful twist. The heart of the scent is light and whimsical, while the more masculine notes of woods and moss give it a fresh edge. In the words of Heidi Klum: "You're In!"
#2 JOSIE By Josie Natori
From the House of Natori, designer Josie Natori launched a dynamic new fragrance this summer, which is all about sensuality that sparkles, floats envelops and effortlessly says "I'm here... Come closer." Grr baby! JOSIE is a sexy, contemporary scent that opens with a vibrant accord of crisp Asian pear and bergamot, showered with luscious dewy leaves with heart notes of sampaguita, freesia and wild orchid. In fact, the national flower of the Philippines, sampaguita's name is derived from âsumpa kitaâ, which means "I promise you". The Sampaguita flower is a symbol of love. The romantic scent closes with an intoxicating mixture of sandalwood and white musk intensifies with patchouli. Perfect for an autumn date night. Unfortunately, sexy suitor not included.
#1 Fan di Fendi Blossom
While the double F in the Fendi logo may stand for "Fun Fur", we are thinking it should be changed to Fabulous Fragrance, because we are obsessed with the Italian fashion house's new floral infused scent. Fan di Fendi Blossom opens on a deliciously fruity gourmand accord that blends the Japanese Nashi Pear with succulent raspberries, which leads into the heart of the fragrance - the Sakura Cherry Blossom. The scent's final note ends on an elegant vanilla essence with the subtlest hint of powder, resonating with the daintiness of Sakura Cherry Blossoms. While floral fragrances are often reserved for the spring, we say this one is worth rocking all through the fall. Find it at Macy's, Saks, Bloomingdales or Lord & Taylor.
