Hollywood director Harvey Weinstein recently spilled the beans and confirmed that One Direction member Harry Styles was his first choice for his upcoming project "Tulip Forever."
However, the famous musician declined what could have been his acting debut because of his very tight schedule, according to E! News.
"I offered Harry a role in Tulip Forever, but he was touring so he had to turn it down. The part ended up going to Matthew Morrison," Weinstein said.
If Styles accepted the role, he would have had his first on-screen kiss with previously rumored girlfriend, supermodel Cara Delevingne, the same publication noted.
And let me tell you this, the very first scene he shot was one of him kissing Cara Delevingne. So I'm sure Harry won't be turning down the next role I offer him," Weinstein added.
Despite not being able to work with him on "Tulip Forever," Weinstein was still all praises when it came to the "Story of My Life" crooner, the Daily Mail reported.
"He's like Errol Flynn, he's got that swashbuckling charm. Definite star potential. I think he'd be great. No question," he dished.
Styles and Delevingne were previously rumored to have been seeing each other, however, the "What Makes You Beautiful" singer previously denied that they were ever an item, Entertainment Wise noted.
Meanwhile, Weinstein recently debuted as a lead producer on Broadway's "Finding Neverland" where his show received a slew of positive reviews.
The Boston Herald hailed "Finding Neverland" as a "well-cast, even better sung and marvelously choreographed" show.
"I'm extremely excited and quite nervous. Everyone gets nervous about Broadway. For me it's been three years of work on this, I've learned so much. I've never taken the reins like this on a musical before and I've made plenty of mistakes along the way," he told Mail Online.
