Rapper French Montana is currently being accused by Khloe Kardashian's fans of using his reality TV star girlfriend for fame.
Last week, Montana sat down for an interview with Billboard where he dished on his relationship with Khloe and explained that he's not merely in it for the fame.
"I want to capitalize on it. I'll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I'll be able to connect with everything that's going on," Montana said.
However, the rapper's statements caused a stir on social media after fans of Khloe allegedly took his words out of context, according to Pop Dust.
In a separate interview with Access Hollywood, Montana clarified, "I was so mad about that... If I'm with somebody, I'm not with them for that reason. I hate being on camera. Sometimes you're not ready for it and it's too much pressure, but I love it. But I hate how it happened... all the commotion."
Montana also stressed that Khloe supports him with everything that he does so he will make sure to do the same for her.
"She supports me with everything I do. When it comes to her career, I don't think about it. If she need me to do something, I do it," he said.
Meanwhile, Khloe has released a statement via her official Twitter account where she attempted to hush rumors that Montana was simply using her for fame, Celebuzz reported.
On Sunday she wrote, "It's amusing to me that Y'all think I don't see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don't care."
Also on Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Khloe's older sisters, Kim and Kourtney interrogated her on her then budding relationship with the rapper, Mirror noted.
Kim and Kourtney expressed their concern over the fact that Khloe is keeping their relationship under wraps, which didn't normally do when she was dating other people.
Towards the end of the episode, Kim said, "It is so obvious that Khloe and French are dating. They are so cute and he is so sweet with her... I get why she's hesitant on introducing anyone to the family, but if she's out and all over the world with this guy, there's no reason she shouldn't share it with her family."
