Mischa Barton was a millennial's teen idol as Marissa Cooper on hit series "The O.C." She opened up to Metro about why she regrets taking the role, as she returns to the U.K. for a VAPESTICK campaign. Find out what she had to say!
"Probably not," she replied when asked if she would do it again.
"It's something I came so close to not doing. I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have but it certainly not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be... I've kind of seen it all."
Barton describes herself from that time as "depressed and overworked," which led to her trouble with the law and rehab stint.
"It's tough. It's really tough when you are young in this business," the beauty explained. "People blow a lot of hot air at you. That's the main thing. Keep your head on your shoulders - even when you think your head is on your shoulders, sometimes it isn't!"
The actress is the lead judge for VAPESTICK's competition this month, and owns a boutique in Spitalfeilds Market.
It was revealed yesterday her Beverly Hills home could face foreclosure. She bought the home in 2005, when the teen drama was still in its prime.TMZ reading the star missed over $100k in payments.
Barton put the house on the market for the first time in 2010, with a listing price of $8.695m. She originally bought it for $6.4m, and took out a $4.2m loan.
She did not receive any takers and relisted in 2011, only to experience the same outcome. Barton even tried to rent the place for $35k/month.
The 90210 abode boasts 1.2 acres of property, including eight bedrooms, 11 baths, and three guest houses.
