They must be keeping things on the D.L.! Maksim Chmerkovskiy stayed mum over the weekend when asked about his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. This comes on the heels of the pair being spotted on multiple occasions together.

"I have a lot of friends and a lot of them are coming tonight," he told PEOPLE at the Sway: A Dance Trilogy event in Westbury. 

"I'm focused on dancing," he then added. "I'm not interested in talking about anything other than the show."

The two danced together in November at the American Music Awards, and allegedly met through mutual friend Leah Remini. She had recently split with Casper Smart, who she dated after moving on from Marc Anthony.

Lopez confessed in the past she does not like to be alone, so we were not surprised to see her with someone new.

A source told PEOPLE "they are friends and have been talking."

They are taking things slow as it is a busy time in both of their careers.

JLo and Remini went to Chmerkovskiy's brother's birthday party in March at The Redbury Hotel in LA. The songstress allegedly drank wine and ate pizza before leaving after 1 a.m.

"I think they could. Who knows what will happen?" the source said of them becoming an official couple.

The pair was spotted in June getting cozy in a nightclub, and an eyewitness spilled details to Us Weekly.

"Maks was whispering into her ear and hugging her," the source explained. "They looked very flirty with each other...She had a huge smile on her face and looked like she was having a great time."

Reports claimed her ex Smart was caught sexting with a transsexual model, but a source told Radar OnlineLopez's fitness obsession drove him away.

"Jennifer's obsession with her own body is out of control," they explained. "There's no doubt she's worked herself into the ground to achieve her killer shape."

"In the end, Jen and Casper had nothing else to talk about except diet and exercise stuff, and that was exactly how she wanted it."
