The family of Matt Bendik, the 35-year-old boyfriend of "Glee" star Becca Tobin, fears his death was caused by stress, Daily Mail reported.
Described by his parents as workaholic, Bendik is said to have plans for a major career and have been working very hard as a Los Angeles nightclub owner. He was only 15 when he got into the club business.
Since there are no indications of foul play, drugs, weapons, or suicide in the scene, the parents worry that Bendik may have died from a heart attack caused by stress.
No clear results on the cause of Bendik's death were obtained from the preliminary autopsy. The Philadelphia Medical Examiner will still make additional studies.
In the afternoon of July 10, a maid found Bendik dead at the Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia while he was on a business trip. There were conflicting reports about whether his 28-year-old girlfriend was with him at the time.
The Philadelphia Police still has no knowledge of the whereabouts of Tobin when Bendik was found dead, Upstart Magazine has learned.
Before heading off to study business at Cornell University, Bendik worked as a promoter for Whiskey a Go Go on the Sunset Strip. When he went back to Los Angeles, his club business career allowed him to be in contact with several celebrities, according to New York Daily News.
Playing cheerleader Kitty Wilde on the hit Fox series "Glee" since 2012, Tobin is reportedly inconsolable upon learning Bendik's death. She and Bendik are said to be planning to get married and have a family together.
Bendik's death was just three days away from the first death anniversary of Tobin's former "Glee" co-star Cory Monteith, who died of a heroin and alcohol overdose in a Vancouver hotel room. He was 31. Monteith played football player Finn Hudson on the series and was dating another "Glee" star Lea Michele.
