One person is NOT happy with Rosie O'Donnell's possible return to "The View," and that is Elisabeth Hasselbeck! Her one time co-host had choice words about O'Donnell coming back to the chat show. Find out what she had to say!
Hasselbeck called into her show from vacation to address the matter.
"What could ruin a vacation more than to hear news like this?" she asked.
"Talks about not securing the border," Hasselbeck continued. "Here in comes to The View the very woman who spit in the face of our military, spit in the face of her own network... coming back with a bunch of control ready to regain a seat at The View table."
She also recalled a conversation the two had earlier this year, where O'Donnell alleged she produced Barbara Walter's reunion show.
"[For O'Donnell] to have such ease the day of Barbara's goodbye show was shocking to me. Would you think that the woman who left the way that she did would be producing [Walters'] goodbye show? Here's the shocker: It was actually [O'Donnell's] hello show," Hasselbeck stated.
"I could not be more thankful to be on Fox and Friends," she concluded. "Days like this always remind me of that."
It has been rumored since Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy announced their departures the controversial host would rejoin Whoopi Goldberg.
"The worst kept secret ever is Rosie is returning to the show - it's definitely happening!" a source told Hollywood Life."ABC wants to make the big announcement of her return during the TCAs along with the other new members of the cast."
Insiders also revealed to Fox that ABC wanted her back.
"The network executives really wanted Rosie back," a source told the network. "They're confident she has what it takes to add some controversy and drive the ratings up. It is a smart fit."
Other officials at ABC state "there is a lot of rumor and speculation about who will be joining the show," but no decisions have been made and the network is "not ready to make any announcements."
