Kate Middleton is known for her slam dunks when it comes to fashion but it looks like when it comes to be being a mom to Prince George, the Duchess of Cambridge is no expert.
According Us Weekly, in the August 2014 issue of Vanity Fair, palace insiders spilled about the ups and downs of raising the royal baby.
Prince George is set to ring in his first birthday on July 22nd and what better way to celebrate your first year on earth than having a spread in a major magazine.
When speaking of Prince William's son's time outside the palace an insider said, "Kate expressed relief that George behaved well during his first few public appearances."
The source went on, "...For the first few months the prince cried loudly and frequently, and he was not sleeping through the night. Nanny Jessie Webb tried hard to get him into a routine, but the baby prince, who was still breastfeeding, was permanently hungry."
The insider revealed that it was "only in the new year when Kate introduced solids, that George finally slept through the night."
Jessie Webb, who raised Prince William, came out of retirement for a short time to assist Kate Middleton and the Prince of Wales after their son's birth.
After stepping down from the position, the royal couple hired Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo in March to take her place.
An insider told the magazine, "She spent a week bonding with George at Kate's family home in March under the watchful eyes of the Middleton grandparents, while Will and Kate jetted off to the Maldives for a second honeymoon."
Vanity Fair revealed, "Her credentials include experience in self-defense, high-speed driving, and dealing with paparazzi."
As far as socializing the young prince goes, Kate and Will set him up for play dates. An insider revealed, "They take George to playdates at the homes of friends, among them Kate's old Marlborough friend Alice St. John Webster, who has a baby several months older than George."
However, play dates may no longer be necessary as Kate Middleton might become pregnant again. A source confessed that "there are rumors among the couple's friends that they plan to try this summer."
