David Arquette proposed to Christina McLarty over family dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse in Malibu. This comes on the heels of ex wife Courteney Cox announcing her engagement to Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid. Congrats to all of them!
According to E! News, Arquette and company arrived around 6 p.m., and 45 minutes later asked everyone to follow him outside. He popped the question with a blue diamond sparkler. The couple have one son together, Charlie, 2, and the actor has 10-year old daughter Coco with Cox.
The entertainment reporter was heard asking, "Coco, did you know?"
She said, "maybe," before laughing and yelling out "engaged!"
The actor and his former wife allegedly spoke about taking the next steps in their new relationships. We think it is great how they get along so well!
"David was just waiting for the right time," a source told Us Weekly.
"He and Courteney both talked about taking the next step in their relationships, they both want what's best for each other."
They announced their split in 2010 after almost 11 years of marriage.
Cox shared the news she was marrying McDaid last week on Twitter with an adorable snap.
It was captioned, "I'm engaged to him!"
McDaid followed suit, tweeting, "I'm engaged to her!"
The couple allegedly met through Ed Sheeran, who was staying at Cox's beach house for awhile. He accidently spilled they were living together in an interview with The Guardian in April.
"I'm not sure that it's public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn't have said anything - but, yes, they're already living together," Sheeran revealed.
"Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn't be happier."
"They get on really well and are genuinely good friends, pardon the pun," he added.
