Is Ellie Goulding getting married anytime soon?
The 27-year-old British singer-songwriter has sparked rumors that she is already engaged to boyfriend Dougie Poynter after she was recently photographed wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
The "Burn" hitmaker was seen sporting what looked like a gold band while attending the H&M VIP launch in London Wednesday, Nov. 5, MTV UK reported.
Goulding confirmed that she is dating the 26-year-old McFly bassist during an appearance on British comedy chat show "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" in May, according to RTE.
When asked about her relationship with Poynter at the time, Goulding told Carr, "Err, he's my man friend. Boyfriend traditionally."
"He's a very lovely human being," she added.
And despite their busy schedules, Goulding told Self magazine for its August issue that she is determined to make their relationship work.
"You get to know someone who makes you very happy and then you go away [on tour], right when it was just getting somewhere awesome," she said, as quoted by Daily Mail. "It's not fun, but we can make it work. Love is beyond everything, beyond the universe."
Prior to dating Poynter, Goulding was in a relationship with electronic dance music producer Skrillex (Sonny Moore) in 2012. But after a year of dating, the two split.
"It's over," a source close to Goulding told Us Weekly in October 2012. "There's no bad blood. Just a classic case of long distance being impossible. They hope to remain good friends."
"It just happened. Their schedules are just too crazy," a second insider said. "Work schedules and distance took their toll. She's fine though."
Goulding also dated British television and radio presenter Greg James. They went public with their romance in 2010, but ended their romance the following year, according to WENN.
Meanwhile, Goulding has recently responded to claims of ignorance and racism after she posted photos of herself sporting a Native American headdress for Halloween on Instagram.
"I wore that beautiful unauthentic headpiece for about 5 minutes. I havnt worn my costume for Halloween yet," she tweeted in her defense.
